What is Koza? What does Cozy Koza mean?

Cozy Koza is a combination of the English word 'cozy' and the Turkish word 'Koza'. While 'cozy' means 'warm', 'comfortable', and 'enjoyable', 'Koza' is used in Turkish to mean “Cocoon”.

Cozy Koza was born from the idea of creating cozy and cocoon-like towels for people who are looking for natural, stylish, and quality products.
We envision making these fine towels accessible to all who desire to experience premium and traditionally made Turkish towels.

Cozy and Soft, Cocoon like Turkish towels.

Can you explain Turkish towels?

When it comes to choosing the perfect towel, there are many factors to consider. But if you're looking for a towel that is both stylish and functional, the Cozy Koza towel is the way to go.

Turkish towels, also known as peshtemals, are flat-woven towels that are traditionally made from Turkish cotton. They are incredibly absorbent, yet dry quickly, making them perfect for use both at the beach and in the bathroom.

Turkish towels are also super lightweight and compact, making them easy to pack for a trip. And because they're so versatile, they can be used as a sarong, a scarf, a tablecloth, or even a blanket. If you're looking for a stylish and functional towel, a Turkish towel is a perfect option.

They make a great gift too!

What are they made of?

Cozy Koza Turkish towels are a type of towel that is made using 100% cotton. We use high-quality cotton that has extra long fibers. This type of cotton is stronger and smoother, making our towels softer, more durable, and absorbent. They are also quick-drying, which is why they are now a popular choice for most people.
Our towels are different from most of the other beach towels on the market because they are made with cotton only. No blend, no microfiber, no 'recycled plastic bottles'.

Cotton is also praised for being a natural and breathable fabric. It is also hypoallergenic, making it a good choice for those with sensitive skin.

Why should I prefer thinner towels over thicker ones?

Good question! There are several reasons why thin towels are better than thick terry towels.

For one, they don't hold onto moisture as much as thick towels do. This means that they won't have time to develop that musty smell that can come from accumulated bacteria.

If you don't wash your terry towels immediately after one use, that unwanted build-up can cause that bacteria to make its way to your skin, which can result in unwanted breakouts on your face or body.

Lastly, our towels will take up less space in your closet which helps maximize your storage space.

Cozy Koza towels never allows built up bacteria and musty smell

I've tried the Turkish towels before, they dry me fully, but my regular towels absorb the water faster.

In a bath or beach towel, too much absorbency means that a towel remains wet long after use. This renders a build-up bacteria if you air-dry them after use.

Also, towels that are too absorbent tend to become wet in humid climates all by themselves.

Most towels in the market are too thin because they use less cotton to keep the costs low as possible. This results in low quality, less durable and less absorbent towels.

Our towels provide the perfect balance between absorbency and softness, they also get even softer every wash.

I've purchased and LOVED your Majestic design Sultan towels. My mom also loved its design and I wanted to give one to my mom but now I can’t find the same design on the website. Are they coming back?

I'm sorry to hear that you can't find the same design of towel on our website. We strive to be a zero-waste brand while keeping quality and originality at our core. We sell artisan made Turkish towels with releases that arrive in curated & limited drops. Therefore, our designs changes all the time. Once a beach towel design sells out, we don't restock them. That helps us reduce the excess inventory, save the planet, and give our customers the exclusivity and uniqueness they deserve.

However, sometimes a design gets a lot of request. In that case we consider bringing them back for a limited time/amount. Make sure to sign-up to our mailing list so you don't miss our new releases.

Turkish Towel Sultan Towels Cozy Koza

It seems like your towels are a bit pricier than other ones on the market. What makes them different?

Unfortunately, quality comes with a price. Our brand, Cozy Koza, isn't part of the fast-fashion culture. All of our towels are artisan-crafted textiles that are handwoven by talented artisans with decades of experience. The quality of the towel and hand-weaving style is better since it is a more traditional and intimate form of art.

The workbench is not a large factory machine that can produce industrial quantities of goods. It is a simple machine using a simple process. We can only produce seven to eight peshtemals a day using the hand weaving technique, but with the workbench, we can produce one item every fifteen to twenty minutes. It’s still a small amount.

Once you try our Turkish towels, you will feel the difference immediately.
